NEVADA COUNTY 8 HOUR CCW TRAINING
Get your 8 hour CCW renewal training at BEST CCW Training in Lincoln.
At BEST CCW Training, you will walk away with a tremendous amount of knowledge, and you will be well
prepared to carry concealed weapons.
CCW renewal applicants must attend an 8 hour training course (which includes the range qualifications and the
one hour mental health component is included in the classroom as well).
To renew your valid Nevada County CCW permit, it is rather simple. Attend our 8 hour CCW training course,
including qualifying with all weapons to be on your new permit, and apply for your CCW renewal online with the
Nevada County Sheriff's Office CCW web portal. The guns must be registered in your name. Spouse's guns cannot be on
your permit, due to new CA laws.
Upon approval of your initial Nevada County CCW application, you will be required to complete at least
a 16 hour CCW training (if you have not done so yet), including demonstrating the ability to safely
(and proficiently) handle and use the handguns (up to 3) to be on your permit, and you must "qualify" with
each weapon to be on your permit, by specific serial number. The gun(s) must be registered to you. Obtaining a
CCW (carry concealed weapons) permit in Northern CA is much easier than many bay area and Southern CA
counties. You shall demonstrate good moral character, prove that you are an outstanding resident
of Nevada County, and be prepared to undergo a thorough and complete background check.
Attend the BEST training course available, and do not allow any shortcuts when taking this training. CCW
training is very important, and selecting the best instructor should be an important factor, when you will be
carrying a concealed weapon. It is very crucial to know the laws of the state of CA, and particularly knowing
the laws when it comes down to self defense, and where you are not allowed to carry weapons, etc., rather than
just demonstrating that you can shoot a gun at a range.
